Martin Scorsese has directed an extended (10 min.) commercial in the style of Alfred Hitchcock, for Freixenet Wines. It's one of the best Hitchcock homages I've seen, and it includes a behind-the-scenes with Scorsese himself that's pretty darn funny. Show it to your film students for their final exam and have them identify which bits are taken from which Hitchcock films! http://www.scorsesefilmfreixenet.com/video_eng.htm ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Cynthia Turner <[log in to unmask]> Date: 4 Dec 2007 03:02:46 -0500 Subject: Cynopsis Digital 12/4/07 To: [log in to unmask] ------------------------------ * Cyn*opsis: DIGITAL 12/04/07 Good morning, it's *Tuesday, December 4, 2007* and this is your first early morning digital briefing. ** * ~ WEBSITE OF THE DAY ~ * *Martin Scorsese* has created a masterpiece in a format that definitely has legs in this age of digital video and DVRs. His cinematic advertorial for Freixenet's Carta Nevada Reserva champagne is really a love letter to Alfred Hitchcock, presented under the guise of a mysterious never-produced scene from the Master of Suspense. The lighting, costumes, music and pacing are spot on. Thanks to: Kathy Fennessy The Stranger Seattle, WA.
