*Call For Papers: “The Life and Legacy of Rod Serling” * March 28-29, 2008 Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York** _Proposals Due: Oct. 17, 2007 _ “The Life and Legacy of Rod Serling,” an interdisciplinary academic conference, is set for Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, 2008, at the Roy H. Park School of Communications, Ithaca College, Ithaca, N.Y. The college, where Serling, a New York native, taught from 1967-1975, is also home to the Rod Serling Archives. The archives include an extensive collection of television scripts, film screenplays, stage play scripts, films, unpublished works by Rod Serling and other materials vital to scholarship associated with the author and television pioneer. In April 2006, the college presented the well-received “Submitted for Your Approval,” a conference that focused on the creative work of Rod Serling, offering research, anecdotes and an opportunity to view some of the classics of early television. Come and be a part of the exploration of that unique “dimension of imagination” that is the work of Rod Serling.
