Assistant Professor, Documentary Film and Video Production, Department of Art & Art History, Stanford University The Program in Film and Media Studies in the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an emphasis in the field of Documentary Film and Video Production. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2007. The successful candidate will teach at the graduate level in the M.F.A. Program in Documentary Film and Video and at the undergraduate level in the Film and Media Studies program. Candidates will be expected to teach a range of core courses in both documentary production and studies. The production sequence includes research, conceptualization, producing, directing, cinematography, sound, and editing of non-fiction media. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop studies courses that explore the history and theory of documentary. The Program welcomes applicants who are filmmakers with significant experience teaching beginning and advanced production students.
