REMINDER OF APPROACHING DEADLINE SUMMER PROGRAM IN CHINESE CINEMA HISTORY AND CRITICISM Hosted by the Beijing Film Academy Administered by the University of Washington Open to students worldwide Dates: July 3-30, 2006 Web site: http://faculty.washington.edu/yomi/bfa-uw.html The program, taught by Western and Chinese scholars, is aimed at upper-level undergraduate and M.A. students. Eight mini-courses (equivalent to 120 contact hours) acquaint the students with the history of Chinese cinema, with critical terms for discussing formal, institutional and ideological concerns, and with the Asian and global contexts of Chinese filmmaking.
