The Department of Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for the position of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor (tenured/tenure-track) specializing in film, media, and cultural studies in South Asia (India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, etc.) beginning Fall 2006. Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. and should be able to teach, conduct research, and supervise graduate students in one or more of the following areas: history and analysis of Indian/South Asian cinema, radio, satellite and television broadcasting, or other communications media; and South Asian culture and society.
