Call for Papers National Association for Humanities Education The Humanities: Ideas, Forms/Dreams, Agendas An Interdisciplinary Humanities Conference Richmond, Virginia February 24-25, 2005 The National Association for Humanities Education invites 250-word proposals for papers and panels to be presented in the program of its 2005 conference to be held at The Omni Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. The conference theme is "The Humanities: Ideas, Forms/ Dreams, Agendas." Richmond is home to the Virginia State Capital, Canal Walk, the historic Shockoe Slip District with its boutiques, restaurants, pubs, galleries and cobblestone streets, as well as museums and other attractions representing the diversity and scope of the American experience. Expeditions are planned for visits to several of Richmond's historical and cultural offerings, including special collections and architecturally and historically significant buildings and sites. The conference will feature a $129.00 room rate as well as several meals, refreshments, and receptions. We invite papers from all areas of the Humanities-especially those that take an interdisciplinary approach to their subject. Outstanding papers will be considered for inclusion in the NAHE journal Interdisciplinary Humanities. Papers should be planned for twenty minutes and panels should be planned for an hour and thirty minutes.
