>Hello All,
>
>I am writing, for Marilyn Rose and myself, from Brock University, to
>announce the opening of a new database on Crime, Mystery and Detective
>Fiction, Film and Television. Marilyn and I have spent about three years,
>with various students and research assistants, putting together a very
>large, searchable database on Crime, Mystery and Detective Fiction, Film
>and Television in English. Our database can be accessed at:

>
>The database has the following keyword, title and author searchable libraries:
>
>
> General Criticism of Crime, Mystery and Detective Fiction
> General Criticism of Crime, Mystery and Detection on Film,
> including Film Noir
> General Criticism of Crime Mystery and Detection on Television
Canadian Crime Fiction, Primary (novels and short stories by
Canadian Authors)
Canadian Crime Fiction, Secondary (critical articles on Canadian
Crime Fiction)
         Literary Detective Fiction
> Dissertations on the Genre (fiction, film, television)
> The Skene-Melvin Collection
>
>There are over 13,000 entries on these lists! We know there are some
>errors in the database and we are attempting to correct them. So many
>people have had their hands on this project that errors inevitably creep
>in. We would ask anyone who can spare the time to check over the entries
>under his or her name and alert us to any errors or omissions (for which
>we apologize in advance...).

Please do have a look at the website. It is an ambitious project and it is
our intention that this "webliography" continue to grow and develop. While
our particular interest is in Canadian Detective Fiction, we have a very
large number of citations on Crime, Mystery and Detective fiction, film and
television which do not concern Canada on the site.

Thanks in advance for any help that your members might give. Anyone who
spots an error or omission can contact Marilyn or myself at:
