LANDMARKS OF EARLY FILM is a good compilation, culled from THE MOVIES
BEGIN. It includes early Dickinson, Lumiere, Griffith, Winsor McKay,
etc., hand-colored GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, a Max Linder short, and others.
Volume II is all-Melies.

There's a pretty good guide at:

I'm looking for a dvd of silent classics that includes The Great
Train Robbery, Chaplin, Keaton, Lumiere, Melies.

Can anyone recommend one?
