i might be imagining it but: in "the big red one", don't we have a shock
cut into the oven of the gas chamber, towards the end? it's a reverse
angle shot from that actor who played luke skywalker.

maybe the cut into colour in "shock corridor" could be termed a "shock
cut" too.

and i'd be amazed if the bit when our protagonist winds up in the room
with "nymphos" isn't done as a shock cut... the bit when she advances
towards him... very stimulating film-making.
