I'm sure someone on this list can help me out identifying this film.  When I kid ('80s) I saw an old Technicolor Western that ended with oil being struck on a farmhouse property.  It looked like it must have been a big film at its time, and probably something I'd eventually encounter as I look at more classic films.  The film ended about a minute of screen time after the oil was struck.  I don't know if I saw any more of it than just this scene, though.
