Hi,

I am a filmmaker/educator looking for examples of
media or art (film/video, photos, performance, etc)
used to bring about change in community awarness
and/or public policy. In addition, I am also
searching for schools or programs that cater to this
form of media studies and community outreach. Below
is a brief list of some examples I have found so far.
Any assistance you can offer would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
shane

**Dr. Barlow's Injury Prevention Program in NYC

"One of her first initiatives was a photo essay that
documented the conditions in Harlem's forty-five
city-run playgrounds. The images—a horror show of
mangled equipment, unpadded surfaces, rodent
infestation, and loitering junkies—were annotated with
data on emergency-room visits for lacerations and
fractures sustained in those playgrounds.
