Hi, I am a filmmaker/educator looking for examples of media or art (film/video, photos, performance, etc) used to bring about change in community awarness and/or public policy. In addition, I am also searching for schools or programs that cater to this form of media studies and community outreach. Below is a brief list of some examples I have found so far. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks shane MEDIAMAKERS **ABC Africa by Abbas Kiarostami "At the request of the UN's International Fund for Agricultural Development, Abbas Kiarostami and his assistant Seifollah Samadian arrive in Kampala." http://www.bfi.org.uk/showing/extended/abcafrica/index.html **Dr. Barlow's Injury Prevention Program in NYC "One of her first initiatives was a photo essay that documented the conditions in Harlem's forty-five city-run playgrounds.
