there were two glitches in my recent CFP that
i'd like to correct

one was perhaps obvious: dashes somehow got
translated into question marks . . . any obviously
inappropriate question marks should be read as
dashes

the other is more critical:  the deadline date
for paper proposals, which was cut off the end
of the message, is 23 september
