Hello all,

I'm searching for a teaching text I'm sure must exist somewhere: an essay
suitable for first-year university students that introduces, in readily
understood terms, the post-structuralist critique of authorship (Barthes and
others), and cites examples that include films. I want to set such an
article to introduce students to what underlies certain critiques of
auteurism in cinema studies -- I've found quite a few good articles that
deal exclusively with literary texts: any ideas on ones that would work for
cinema studies?

Thanks in advance,

Fran
