Subject: films about the Beats

recommendations for films about the Beats, either narrative or documentary.
   Robert Frank's PULL MY DAISY

OR AS I'VE COME TO THINK OF IT, Alfred Leslie's PULL MY DAISY, since he "directed" it while Frank shot it.

I also second the BUCKET OF BLOOD mention, a Corman film which I saw in Austin when Joe Bob Briggs screened a pristine print for a huge audience.

But that film reminds me that some of the most interesting Beat artifacts are TV episodes rather than feature films. BEV HILLBILLIES esp.

Rhino Records' boxed set on The Beat Generation is the best pop culture intro I know of, and it's excellent liner notes/book has a filmography.
