Hello:

Recently P. Martin asked about nonlinear films. I suggested a title wrongly
and although it is one of my favorites help me remember.

I believe the film was French/Canadian. The young director died in a small
plane crash with his girlfriend about a year after its release.

It is a wonderful nonlinear film. In it the boy is raised in a very abusive,
strange environment. He eventually goes insane and there is a scene of him
laying in a bathtub full of ice. He also defecates outside of the toilet (I
know graphic).

This really is a great example of nonlinear film making. He was a great
filmmaker, sad loss.

Let me know, I am sure someone knows.

Thanks,
