He ultimately triumphed and went on to write manyacclaimed films including FAIL SAFE, THEMOLLY MCGUIRES, THE FRONT, SEMI-TOUGH and YANKS. His recent works include HBO movie MISS EVERS' BOYS for which he won an EMMY and a HUMANITAS AWARD in1997.
