Women's Studies Program University of Southern Maine The Women's Studies Program of the University of Southern Maine invites applications for a one-year fixed length appointment beginning September 1, 2001. Rank is open. Qualifications are a Ph.D. and evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship. Publications in the field are desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates with a humanities background with expertise in feminist theory and a focus on the experience of women of color and women in global perspectives. The candidate will teach Introduction to Women's Studies and Contemporary Feminist Theories, and will develop and teach courses in areas of specialization, such as immigration, post-colonial theory, globalization, religious studies, cultural studies, and the historical construction of race, gender, and sexuality.
