ASSOCIATE OR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, tenure-track, in Film Studies at the
University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Department of Art & Theatre.
Applicants should hold an MFA or PhD in Film Studies or a related field and
have teaching and professional experience in some area of Film Production
(Cinematography, Directing, Editing, etc.) as well as teaching experience
in other areas of Film Studies.  In addition to teaching courses in Film
Production and Film Studies, appointee will coordinate courses in film
production taught by local professional filmmakers in Wilmington, North
Carolina, home of EUE Screen Gems Studios and the third largest film

Screen Writing / Dramatic Writing. Assistant Professor, tenure-track (3/2
load), August 2001. UNCW seeks an accomplished screen writer and dedicated
teacher to serve in an established M.F.A. in Writing Program, as well as in
vital undergraduate programs in Creative Writing and Film Studies. Hiring
criteria include success in producing scripts, significant artistic
recognition, teaching experience, successful completion of an MFA or other
advanced academic degree, and publication. Duties include graduate and
undergraduate courses in screen writing, adaptation, and other forms of
dramatic writing.  Leadership experience and credentials in fiction,
creative nonfiction, play writing, or other aspects of film production are
desirable. UNCW is located in the historic port city of Wilmington, home to
