CONFERENCE PROGRAM ON WEB SITE FOR FILM& HISTORY'S CONFERENCE ON THE PRESIDENCY IN FILM AND TV Our conference is scheduled for Westlake Village, just north of LA, and will be 10-12 November, 2000. We could hardly be more timely and topical, don't you think!! Film & History is a journal designed for those who teach the humanities and social sciences, but wish to use film and tv within their classes or to make film a document that is part of their total research agenda. Many of us got our start at conferences like this one and we invite the curious and interested to the meeting; you do not have to be a certified expert on the subject of film and society. (The Extended Learning Division of California State University-Northridge is even offering three hours of History credit for participation by students who keep a log and conduct writing assignments related to the panels and readings.) Full information about registration is on the Film & History web site. The credit information is there as well for students and teachers. Please print out our program and savor the interesting work by scholars and filmmakers. This is a friendly group and we welcome newcomers... Peter Rollins Peter C.
