Submissions are also invited for papers on any topic concerning the
philosophy of moving images, especially extended discussions of recent
films. Papers should be 2-6,000 words in length, original, and not under
submission elsewhere or previously published.

Founded in November 1996, Film-Philosophy (ISSN 1466-4615) is an internet
*salon* -- being both a journal and email discussion forum -- which exists
to promote and discuss the future of serious film study, both by rethinking
the concepts of current film theory, and by calling on the work of both
continental and analytical philosophy. It is a genuinely active
e-publication, where scholarly review articles can be immediately responded
to in the email salon -- which has more than 600 members from over 20
countries.

The website receives over 20,000 hits each month, and also houses a
regularly-updated Writings and News Digest, providing the best cinema links
from an ever-growing world wide web, as well as a large resource of
bibliographies, journals, and online writings.

The whole salon is indexed by the British Library, and recently it has
received an award from the Encyclopedia Britannica
(http://www.britannica.com), who have rated it one of the most valuable and
reliable film sites on the internet.
