I thought I'd pass this along... (My review of _Sleepy Hollow_ mentioned the reference to _On the Town_). Although the action is scaring all along, some breaks are provided for the soft-hearted, such as: "Do you think he's dead?" "The problem, is that he was already dead!" But my biggest laugh was at the end, when Depp tells Ricci: "This is New York, and you'll get accustomed to it very quickly: the Bronx is up and the Battery's down" (an hommage to Betty Comden-Adolph Green-Leonard Bernstein's ON THE TOWN). I even expected a final title : AND PEOPLE WEREN'T YET TRAVELING UNDERGROUND.Of course,I was the only to push a big laugh in the Parisian afternoon audience... henry caraso Comment Author: Henry Caraso =============================================================== To view the complete page online or view any of the 750,000 plus filmographies and 200,000 plus movie titles, please visit: http://us.imdb.com/CommentsShow?0162661-353 ================================================================== Copyright Internet Movie Database (IMDb) 2000 ================================================================== The sender chose to send you a page from our website in the belief that you would be interested in its content.
