Scholarly and research interest in cultural studies. Ability to teach a variety of critical studies courses including graduate, undergraduate and general education. Candidate must show demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a multi-ethnic, multicultural environment and potential for or record of scholarly activity. Candidate must also show a demonstrated potential for effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. A doctorate is required for tenure in this position. If unable to fill this position, it may be converted to a Full-time Temporary appointment. PRF#ERBED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. plus record of successfU1 teaching and scholarly achievement. DUTIES: Teaching and research in the area of television/media history and criticism. THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Communication Studies offers BA degrees in Speech and Broadcasting (with options in Telecommunications and Film, Broadcast Journalism, and Animation) and an MA degree in Communication Studies with options in Speech Communication and Telecommunications and Film with concentrations in Screenwriting and Critical Studies.
