The following posting from POSTMODERN CULTURE, the on-line journal, lists many 1990-91 books dealing with postmodernism. Several of these releases deal with film and/or TV. I bounce this over to SCREEN-L asa way of inaugurating a general discussion of postmodernism--if, indeed, the list is interested. And to start things off in the most general way possible I'll pose this question: Have SCREEN-L subscribers found "postmodernism" a useful concept for their work in teaching, theorizing or studying film and/or television? ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- _Postmodern Culture_: Call for Book Reviews (April 2, 1991) If you would like to propose a review of one or more of the books listed below, please send a note to Elaine Orr, book-review editor, at ENOEG@NCSUVM (Bitnet) or [log in to unmask] (Internet) explaining your qualifications and experience in the subject area. If you would like to propose a review of a book which does not appear below, please follow the same procedure. Book reviews of 1,000 to 3,000 words in length are published as a regular feature in each issue of _Postmodern Culture_. The next issue will appear at the end of May, 1991.
