*CFP: Beyond the Sunday Night Lineup: 40 Years of HBO (1972-2012)* Society for Cinema and Media Studies Conference (Boston, March 21-25) http://www.cmstudies.org/ As HBO approaches its 40th anniversary, this panel will approach HBO’s history in ways that are not limited to the popular Sunday night lineup. What other programming has helped to shape HBO’s reputation? How has HBO shaped the cable industry and vice-versa?
