Facets Multimedia in Chicago has a rental VHS copy of "L'Inhumaine" that is no restoration but doesn't look too bad. (There's also quite a nice color restoration of L'Herbier's "Eldorado"). Some of Facets's rental policies have changed, but the information should be accessible at www.facets.org. --Robert Keser Fine Arts Department National-Louis University Chicago -----Original Message----- From: Film and TV Studies Discussion List [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Tim Shary Sent: Tuesday, October 12, 2004 6:22 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [SCREEN-L] old French film Hello-- I am trying to track down any copies of a film by Marcel L'Herbier, called "L'Inhumaine" (one English translation is "The Inhuman Woman"), from 1924. Apparently some of the sets were designed by Fernand Leger, and I know that I've met people who've seen and studied it. That's about all I've got to go on, so please let me know if you have any leads.
