Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant area, and expertise in critical theory, film and media theory, and two or more of the following: visual culture, Australasian film and media, film and media history, television studies and digital culture. Expertise in any of the areas of the social studies of science and technology, postcolonial theory, gender theory and queer theory would be an advantage. Applicants should have an active research profile and a record of successful teaching across the above areas, and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary programme. Duties will include the teaching of courses at all levels, including postgraduate supervision. Duties will include the teaching of courses at all levels, including postgraduate supervision. Proven ability in lecturing to large undergraduate classes is essential. The successful candidate would also be expected to contribute to the departmentıs proposed MA in Applied Linguistics.
