WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS

Lecturer in Screenwriting

The Program in Film and Media Studies and the English Department at
Washington University in St. Louis invite applications for a lecturer in
screenwriting, to begin in Fall, 2000.  Applicants should have a record
of professional accomplishment and be willing to help develop a
curriculum in screenwriting for a growing undergraduate liberal arts
major in film studies.  There will be a teaching requirement of four
courses over a two-semester period at the undergraduate level.  The
candidate will be affiliated with the Writing Program.  This appointment
will be for a one-year period, with possibility for a two-year renewal
by mutual consent of the candidate and the Program in Film and Media
Studies and the Department of English.  Applicants should submit a
letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and current letters of reference
to: Chair, Screenwriting Search Committee, Program in Film and Video
Studies, Campus Box 1174, Washington University, St. Louis, MO 63108.
