In the recent PBS documentary NEW YORK, F. Scott Fitzgerald was quoted.
It went something like:
"They will say it was a time of rich and poor. . . Luck was in the
running."

This was also quoted by Godard in his film Nouvelle Vague.

Does anyone have an exact source for this?
