The Communication Arts Department of Framingham State College is seeking
applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning Fall
2000. Applicants should share the department’s commitment to
interdisciplinary work that integrates new electronic media with the
humanities. An MFA with a strong record of professional and creative
work in audio/video and film production along with substantial teaching
experience at the college level is required. Familiarity with
non-linear editing systems is a plus.

The successful candidate will teach courses in audio and television
production along with broadcast studies. The ability to teach an
introductory theory or studio course in either writing for audio/visual
media, computer graphics and/or visual communications is an advantage.
Advising, continuing scholarship, and other professional activities are
also required of all faculty.

Applicants should submit: a letter of application, vita, three current
letters of recommendation plus the names and phone numbers of two
additional
references, a non-returnable resume reel (with samples of professional,
creative work, and student work) on VHS cassette, and a copy of graduate
transcripts, to:

        Dr. Derrick Te Paske, Chair
        Communication Arts Department
        Framingham State College
        100 State Street
        Framingham, MA 01701-9101

The deadline for completed applications is December 14th, 1999. Women
and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. For more
