"Digital Arts & Culture '99", Atlanta, GA, Oct. 28-31, 1999

The Second Annual Digital Arts and Culture Conference (DAC '99) will
bring an international field of artists, new media practitioners,
scientists, theorists, and members of industry to the campus of the
Georgia Institute of Technology to explore established and evolving
forms of digital culture. More than 100 speakers, performers, and
artists, from over a dozen countries, will present their work at the
conference. Keynote speakers and performers will include Robert
Coover, Elliott Peter Earls, N. Katherine Hayles, and Michael Joyce.

The conference program mixes several presentation formats: scholarly
papers, live and mediated artistic performances and readings, and
gallery installations. Opening and closing receptions and a
conference banquet are also scheduled. Many of the events will be
delayed-webcast over the Internet, using streaming audio and video
technologies. Some events will be webcast live.

We anticipate a lively, provocative, and entertaining weekend. We
hope to see you there.

For more information about the conference, including a list of
participants and presentations, and information regarding
registration, fees, and hotel accomodations, see the conference home
page, at:
