Currently I am researching the influence that the growth of cinema studies as field of study at the university level had on the proliferation of autobiographical non-fiction film in the USA and Canada in the 1970s and 1980s.
I would appreciate any tips on sources for the history of cinema studies as a subject - it must have already been the topic of someone's research.
