There are three Fritz Lang films which I do not think have been mentioned: in M

(1931), there is a sequence in which a police chief narrates, in voiceover, his

response to a report he is reading on a burglary in an office building: the

picture shows a combination of moving and still images relating to each

sentence.  WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS (1955) is about newspaper ethics, and as such

contains a number of images of newspaper photographs.  In BEYOND A REASONABLE

DOUBT (1956), the false alibi which the lead character uses in order to escape

from a murder conviction consists of a number of still photographs, which are

destroyed in a car accident just before they can be produced in court.
