In Australia there are a number of bodies charged with aspects of this
task. You could begin by looking at the Film Finance Corporation -- a
form of merchant bank set up by government to invest in film production.
The Australian Film Commission also does work of various types, funding,
script development, marketing assistance and so on.

You could begin with a site which has been set up as a 'gateway' to
information on the Australian film industry: Screen Network Australia.

http://www.sna.net.au/

From her go to the Film Finance Corporation (FFC) site and those of the
Australian Film Commision (AFC) and the Federal Government Department of
Communications and the Arts (DCA) all of which have links at the Screen
Network Australia Site.
