Don't forget _Meet John Doe_ (1941). It contains a powerful scene in
which "John Doe" (Gary Cooper) addresses the John Doe faithful during an
evening rainstorm, only to have his heartfelt speech broken up by the
minions of capitalist/fascist D. B. Norton (Edward Arnold).
