Paul,

Although this is not quite what you were asking for you might find the
electronic journal 'Screening the past' to be a useful resource for the
students in your new course when you get it going.

The journal, which is fully refereed, deals with visual media and history
-- the history of visual media, history in the visual media, and the
implications of the visual media in the past.

Each issue to date has included articles of interest to scholars in the
field of film theory.

The journal can be found at
<http://www.latrobe.edu.au/www/screeningthepast>, and we are always
seeking writers and reviewers. Information on contacting the journal is
at the site.

All the best with the new course,
