I have a colleague who is working on the reception of Paul Verhoeven's
_Showgirls_ as a cult film both after its initial theatrical release and
its later re-release as a midnight cult film.

She (and I) have been surprised to find very little written about the film
besides journalistic reviews. Does anyone know of more scholarly,
preferably feminist, critiques of the film? Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Basil
