In the late '80s, the BBC produced 6 x 30' monologues written by Alan
Bennett called 'TALKING HEADS', featuring Bennett and five leading actresses
    - Maggie Smith, Patricia Routledge, Julie Walters (her episode about the
life of a Z-grade actress is a scream), Thora Hird and Stephanie Cole.

I'm sure they would have been to air via PBS in the States at some stage,
and they certainly have been released commercially along the way by BBCTV
    sales.

    cheers

    Rob
