Film and TV Studies Discussion List <[log in to unmask]>
Parts/Attachments:
text/plain (25 lines)
On Saturday afternoons, a friend and I (both new screenwriters) get
together to discuss various aspects of writing (character, plot,
development, psychology, etc.). Sometimes we sit around and talk about
problems we're having with whatever we are each working on. Other times
we rent a video (or go to a theater) and follow up with a discussion of
what we liked and didn't like about the film (usually focusing on writing
and character development). The point is to help each other solve
problems, develop as writers and keeping each other motivated. I'm hoping
there are others in New York City who are interested in joining us.

I live in downtown Brooklyn (next to Brooklyn Heights). We can get
together at my place, watch a film, then have a discussion about the film,
any works-in-progress anyone wishes to share or any other writing-related
topics. The goal is to assemble a group of writers that have varying
interests, styles and points of view, so that we can all help each other.
Over time, we can develop a rotating meeting place.

If you're interested in joining us, send me an e-mail
([log in to unmask]) or leave me a voicemail on my pager/voicemail number
(917-467-5895).
