On the chance that the post that started this line did not mention Andy
DuFresne(sp?) in THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION I will hazzard the opinion that
Andy's crawl through the sewer pipe (a place of death, a Sheol in Old
Testament terms) and his subsequent emergence or resurection FOLLOWED by his
striking crucifixion pose, makes him a Christ-figure with a profound twist.
