Entry Deadline - June 15, 1997.
 
Image Out: the Rochester Lesbian &Gay Film & Video Festival, now in
its fifth year, is an exciting and important venue for lesbian, gay
and queer film and video makers. In a mid-sized urban location,
LmageOut not only represents a stimulating week of film and video,
but also signifies the entrance and visibility of queer culture into
smaller urban regions across the US.
 
     Last year the Festival screened 30 programs that included over 75
films and videos, exhibited at venues such as the Dryden Theater at
the renowned George Eastman House, the Little Theater in downtown
Rochester and theUniverstiy of Rochester.
     ImageOut also boasts several unique features. The Third Coast
Call for Work, a distinct entry category, is designed to highlight
the work of film and video makers in the US and Canada who live
within a 200 mile radius of the Great Lakes and The St. Lawrence
Seaway. The Archival Night features queer classics from George
Eastman Motion Picture Archive. ImageOut also features prominent visiting
filmmakers, producers and scholars who in the past have included
Barara Hmmer, Christine Vachon, and John G. Young. ImagOut is
currently seeking films and videos for its Fifth Anual Festival to be
held October 17-14, 1997
    ImageOut accepts and showcases work that includes short and feature
length films and videos which range from narrative to documentary to
experimental from across the United States and around the world.
Exhibition formats include 35mm, 16mm, 3/4", and 1/2".
   A 1/2"VHS prview format is required along with a completed
submission form. There is a $5.00 processing fee to enter. Please
indicate if you are working within the regions designated by our
Third Coast Call for Work. The deadline for entries is June 15, 1997.
