                         CARLETON UNIVERSITY
                 SCHOOL FOR STUDIES IN ART AND CULTURE
 
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Film Studies at
the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 1997. This position
is subject to budgetary approval. Applicants are expected to have a
completed Ph.D., a record of research and scholarly publication, and the
ability to contribute to the development of a graduate program in Film
Studies. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated expertise in
Canadian or another national cinema. Applications, with a curriculum
vitae and the names and addresses of three referees, should be sent to:
