Leaving town and/or your e-mail for the holidays?

To ensure you don't return to a big ol' pile of SCREEN-L messages clogging
up your system, you should turn off your subscription before you go.

There are two ways to do it:

1. Unsubscribe from SCREEN-L (recommended).

To unsub, e-mail [log in to unmask] (*not* [log in to unmask]) and put
the following in the first line of your message:

unsubscribe SCREEN-L

Please note that UA1VM is "u-a-ONE-v-m" not "u-a-L-v-m". Confusing, eh?

When you return, just re-subscribe by e-mailing [log in to unmask] again
and putting the following in the first line of the message:

subscribe SCREEN-L [your name here]

2. Turn delivery off, but stay subscribed.

To halt delivery, e-mail [log in to unmask] (*not* [log in to unmask])
and put the following in the first line of your message:

set SCREEN-L nomail

When you return, just re-start SCREEN-L by e-mailing [log in to unmask]
and putting the following in the first line of the message:

set SCREEN-L mail

It's easier to make a mistake this way than using the UNsubscribe method.
Folks often forget that they're subscribed when they are set to NOMAIL and
they wind up as deadwood on the SCREEN-L roll.

Any questions/problems, let me know at this address: [log in to unmask]

Happy holidays, all!
