The best book available is Homer Dickens' What a Drag, Angus & Robertson.
London, 1982.
 
I would recommend that you check out the subject listing for
"Transgender/Drag" in our film database at http://www.popcornq.com to see
listings of a hundred or so films and videos (mostly independently produced,
but some Hollywood).  You'll find educational/non-theatrical rental sources
listed there as well.
