Hi,

Try the following: Arts of Impoverishment: Beckett, Rothko, Resnais, by Leo
Bersani and Ulysse Dutoit. Harvard University Press, 1993

Film Book 2, ed. Robert Hughes. Grove Press, 1962 -- this contains the
screenplay and several commentators speaking on the film including Francois
Truffaut.

Nuit et brouillard by Alain Resnais, Richard Raskin. Aarhus University
Press, 1987

Screening the Holocaust, Ilan Avisar. Indiana University Press, 1988

Alain Resnais' Nuit et brouillard: A Historical and Cultural Analysis.
Holocaust Studies Annual, vol. 3 1985: 107-120

I have a couple of other citations which I can't lay my hands on at the
moment. One of them is written by Peter Harcourt (in a piece on Resnais
generally) so you might look it up on the mla cd rom. A colleague and I
are editing a book on documentary with Wayne State University Press. We
have a new piece in the book on the film by Sandy Flitterman-Lewis. It
will coming out sometime next year.

I am also very interested in this film and would appreciate a copy of your
bibliography on it -- or at least anything others send you that does not
make it to screen-L

regards
Jeannette Sloniowski
