Dear colleagues,
 
We are now taking nominations for the position of Society for Cinema
Studies Student Representative from 1997-1999. The two-year term
obligates the student representative to attend the annual SCS conferences
and annual Executive Council meetings (in early October). Funding is
available for travel to the Council meetings and partial funding is
available for travel to the conferences.
 
If you are interested in running for student representative in the
next election, please send us brief but adequate biographical information
by September 30th. Include your insitutional affiliation, degree/program,
educational background, SCS participation, and address, phone, FAX, e-mail.
 
Also include a brief paragraph offering a statement of purpose.
Official platforms will be requested after the nominating committee and
Executive Council have approved the nominations.
 
All nominees should be in good standing with SCS.
