                    LIT - LITERATURE INTERPRETATION THEORY
                                          CALL FOR PAPERS
 
LIT publishes critical essays which interpret texts - un the
broadcast sense of the word - from an engaging, coherent, theoritical
perspective. We do not restrict ourselves to specific periods,
genres, or critical paradigms. Our hope is that a clear theoretical
focus will produce original, close analyses of various texts and art
forms.
 
                                  SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
 
LIT addresses a general literate audience and encourages essays
unburdened by excessive or tired theoretical jargon. Submissions
range from about 5,000 to 10,000 words and MUST use the MLA citation
style. Please send essays in triplicate (if outside of the US or
Canada, one copy will do) to:

                    ANXIETY, PHOBIAS AND FEARS IN THE ARTS
 
Contributors might consider trends and biases in the psychological
novel, traditional/non-traditional relationships between specific
phobias/anxiety disorders, any combination of associations among fear
and class, phobia and luxury, anxiety and intimacy, etc...
ESSAYS ON FILM, MUSIC, AND THE VISUAL ARTS ARE
ESPECIALLY WELCOMED.
