>Concerning theory about time (and space) in cinema, what about Gilles

Deleuze's books are fascinating, well-written, and important contributions to
film theory. But they are not about time rhetoric. The two books serve more
to define a paradigm shift in film -- both historically in film-making and
also thinking about film -- a shift from fascination with a moving picture to
a picture that exists in time. It is a highly descriptive metaphorical work
that attempts to define the object-cinema and differentiate between different
types of cinemas. It is not textural analysis nor semiological nor
semiopragmatic analysis of film.
