To Don and others,
Perhaps you're right since I've been in the USA since 1984. However, you
may find the details in BRITISH TELEVISION, edited by Tise Vasimagi (sic!)
which appeared two years ago assuming she listed it as the work is a survey.
However, you will find a reference to a BBC production starring Kenneth More
and Isla Blair which appeared in the late 60s. More plays an announcer on
the BBC World Service (ironically now under threat by post-Thatcherism in
England). It is set in a parallel world where Germany won World War Two and
invaded England. However, the USA remained outside the conflict and conducted
"business as usual" with the enemy (sounds familiar doesn't it?). From my
memory of the series, More uncovered the same information Rutger Hauer did
in the TV production and decides to join the resistance. The series ended
after More delivered a revolutionary broadcast before the Nazis shoot down
the studio door. It was also set in the late 60s and used Morricone music.
