Dear Hamid,

I don't remember the specifics (our new baby has blotted out my mind), but it
was partly or entirely funded by the wrong side of the Bosnian war if memory
serves. This was a big "to do" in France and made Kusterica so,suposedly,
embittered that he announced his retirement from film. There was a very long
article in the New Yorker several months ago.
