BROTHER'S KEEPER would be a good choice; it's a documentary about the Ward
brothers in rural upstate New York. The three (or four?) brothers are mentally
"slow" but have successfully operated the family farm for many years; one day
one of them dies, and his brother is accused of smothering him with a pillow.
The community rallies to the accused brother's cause, even though few of the
townspeople know the brothers, who have always kept to themselves. The most
interesting part of the story, to me, is that because of the circumstances, it
will probably never be possible to know for certain whether or not he did it,
but at the same time the community -- and consequently the viewer -- want to
give him clemency anyway, because of the sort of person he is.
